Corrections Policy

How we handle errors and reader-submitted corrections

    Our Commitment

Historical scholarship evolves and editorial work is fallible. When we get something wrong, we want to fix it transparently.

    How to Submit a Correction

    1. Email contact@whitebeavers.com with the subject line "Correction: [article title]".
    2. Include the URL of the article and quote the specific passage in question.
    3. Provide the source supporting the correction (e.g., link to a primary document, citation to a peer-reviewed work).

    Our Response

    • We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.
    • We review the claim against original sources.
    • If a correction is warranted, we update the article and add a dated correction note at the bottom.
    • If no change is needed, we explain our reasoning to you.

    Types of Updates

Correction — fixes a factual error. Clarification — refines language without changing facts. Update — adds new information that has emerged since publication.
