About Whitebeavers

An independent editorial portal on American history and heritage travel

    Our Story

Whitebeavers is an independent editorial portal devoted to the cities, landmarks, and people that shaped American history. We publish long-form journalism, primary-source guides, and field reporting from across the United States.

We are not a tour operator. We don't sell trips, tickets, or accommodations. Our work is reader-facing, ad-supported, and editorially independent — which means we cite sources, link to archives, and correct mistakes publicly when readers flag them.

Our coverage spans the colonial Eastern Seaboard, the antebellum South, the frontier West, and the cultural crossroads in between. Every story is anchored in archives, interviews, and where possible, firsthand visits.
